Some client reviews
Fantastic, just fantastic. Having battled with being able to run more than once a week, for a few years, Amie assessed my issues and had me back in the road with little discomfort. The frequency has increased & the mileage is increasing. She has also worked on my Son's back & shoulder, who is in a Street Dance Crew, this has helped him hugely
I am in the fortunate position where I have enjoyed both Amie's Pilates classes and her services as a soft tissue therapist. For the soft tissue therapy, it's not for the faint-hearted but if you have an injury, ache or pain that you've been struggling with then Amie will be able to establish and treat the issue. Amie has a vast knowledge of the body and as a result can identify and treat sports injuries precisely, using advanced massage therapy. She has helped me on a regular basis to relieve pain and discomfort. I highly recommend Amie and her services.
Years of running was starting to take it’s toll on my legs, so recently I decided to contact Koru Bodyworks to arrange a consultation and sports massage. Within two sessions Amie had greatly reduced the discomfort I was experiencing in my calves, which has enabled me to enjoy running and competing again. I would highly recommend Amie @ Koru Bodyworks, her knowledge and professionalism is second to none!
I had never had a deep tissue massage before and was not sure what to expect when I arrived. Amie made me feel very comfortable in a very relaxed atmosphere. I had been struggling with a lower back pain for a while Amie took the time to identify the issue and to explain to me what was going on under the surface. I have since been able to reduce my lower back pain and would definitely return to continue to work on my problem. Amie herself is very friendly, passionate and knowledgeable, would highly recommend.
I went to see Amie as had shoulder problems, she really listened & understood what needed to be done. Since then, my shoulder is so much better & has continued to improve, I cannot recommend her enough.
I've had several massage therapy sessions to treat a long-standing issue with my piriformis muscle. Amie took time to understand the problem and worked sensitively using different techniques to relieve the pain. I have taken Pilates classes with Amie and her technique and attention to detail are fantastic. She is able to push you that bit further and always tries to keep it varied and challenging. I would thoroughly recommend Amie and wish her luck in her venture!
I highly recommend Koru Bodyworks & Amie Budden. Her knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy & physiology is excellent. Her 1:1 therapy has really helped my chronic thoracic back problem and helped prevent it recurring through sensible advice and Pilates techniques.

Sports Massage Session: What to expect
Whether you have been having sports massage for a while or completely new I offer a relaxed and informal environment for us to discuss your aims for the session and seek to understand what may be the root cause of your pain or discomfort. I have worked with a wide variety of clients ranging from early teens to late 80s, everyone with their very individual needs and history. Being a kiwi, keeping it simple and down to earth is part of the service, but essentially helping you achieve what you came in for in an open and supportive approach.
Step 1: Get in contact. Either drop me a line on 07765 836 252 or email amie@korubodyworks, or if you book online I will contact you directly.
Step 2: I will send an enrolment form which asks for more information about you, your daily life and medical history - if further discussion is needed, we can talk. In this same email, all the information will be sent regarding where to find me, parking and what to wear.
Step 3: When you visit the clinic I will do a quick postural and movement assessment and I will discuss the treatment I intend to do in the session. I will keep you informed throughout the session on what I am working on, this is an active session creating movement so you will also have a role.
Step 4: I will reassess your movement and we will discuss what you can do outside of the clinic, in your everyday life to maintain good muscular health and movement
Step 5: You walk out feeling a million times better and wonder why you haven;t visited sooner 🙂
If you would like to discuss any detail of the session or looking for advice, drop me a line, I would be happy to speak with you. Amie.
